An Open Door

On Saturday 11th March, I will be getting what I hope is the biggest operation of my life. I'm getting major spinal surgery, to correct my scoliosis (curvature of the spine). As I head to London, to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, I'm excited for a new chapter...and a straighter spine. As scary as this is, the outcome is going to be so worth the nerves and I feel so lucky that this door has been opened much sooner than expected!

I simply wanted to explain where I'll be over the next few weeks as things around here will probably be pretty quiet! You know, so that my millions of followers aren't confused!! I hope to get back to blogging as soon as I can but until then, chat soon and I hope you're all keeping well!

A Trip to Leeds

A few days ago my mum and I caught a plane and headed to Leeds to visit my sister, who is currently at university. We had a few days of shopping, eating and exploring an area of England that I have grown to love. Rather than boring you with all the details, I decided to share some photos and a quick overview of what we got up to.

One of the things that I was most excited for was getting to see the new John Lewis that has recently opened in Leeds. The architecture is simply breathtaking, my photographs definitely do not do it justice! From the amazing beauty hall to the clothing to the interiors, this department store had just about everything. It was beautiful, with decorative ceiling hangings and mannequins covered in butterflies. Adjoining John Lewis, is a selection of shops (also, known as Victoria Gate) including, The White Company, T2 and Anthropologie. This is far from your usual shopping centre and just walking through is quite the experience in itself!

When it comes to food, probably the most important part, they're are lots of places to eat in Leeds. However, I would recommend heading to Leeds Trinity shopping centre where you will find a floor of restaurants, cafes and eateries. In my opinion, the best option is to go to the Trinity Kitchen which is home to all kinds of street food for all kinds of tastes. They have created a space that feels as if you are sitting in a street enjoying good food, with the hustle and bustle of the city around you. I have been twice and the food choice is amazing!
